Black Creek Festival

Broadway Fountain
The fountain was originally cast in iron and exhibited at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876. Purchased by a Madison Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and presented to the City of Madison in 1886. The fountain was recast in bronze as a community Bicentennial project in 1976. Located at North Broadway & Main Street.

Clifty Falls State Park
The name Clifty Falls paints a beautiful picture in your mind. You will see breathtaking waterfalls and a deep-bouldered canyon you hike along the trails through this scenic area.

Hanover College
Founded in 1827, this is the oldest private four-year college in Indiana. The breathtaking 630-acre campus overlooks the Ohio River Valley and features thirty buildings of Georgian architectural design. Heritage Trail of Madison
The Heritage Trail of Madison is a multi-use trail connecting the hilltop section of Madison to historic downtown Madison. A one mile hillside section is open for any non-motorized mode of transportation (walkers, hikers, bicycler and runners). The next planned section estimated to open in the year 2009, will connect the lower portion of the Heritage Trail of Madison to the Madison's riverfront. Jefferson County Historical Society
Displays are devoted to southeast Indiana and mid-Ohio Valley heritage. The research library and archives emphasize railroading; steam boating and early Scotts’ settlement. Admission is charged. Lanier Mansion State Historic Site
Visit this Greek Revival home of millionaire JFD Lanier, who supported Indiana’s Civil War regiments. You will enjoy the extensive gardens at this National Historic Landmark. No admission is charged.
