Amish Settlement
Scenic northern Wayne County is home to Indiana's newest Amish settlement. The Amish live without the use of electricity and motor vehicles. The rolling farmland is worked with horses and children attend one-room schoolhouses. They are resourceful, self-reliant people, producing fresh vegetables, flowers, bison meat and handcrafted wooden outdoor/indoor furniture and cabinets. Please watch for slow-moving, gray-top buggies in this part of the county.
Gaar Mansion
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Gaar Mansion was built in 1876 for Industrialist Abram Gaar and his wife Agnes. Original cost to build the mansion was $20,000. Complete interior/exterior restoration of this Victorian style mansion boasts hand painted ceilings, parquet wood floors, and features many original furnishings with their actual bills of sale. Joseph Moore Museum of Natural History
Egyptian mummy and giant pre-historic mammals captivate audiences of all ages. See a prehistoric mastodon, allosaurus skeletons and observe birds and mammals in their natural habitat. Madonna of the Trail
In commemoration of pioneer mothers of the covered wagon days, this statue is the ninth link in the Great National Shrine erected by the Daughters of the American Revolution along the 3,095-mile National Road Trail. The statue stands at the entrance of Glen Miller Park located at 2500 National Road East at the corner of 22 & National Rd. East (U.S. 40)

Old National Road
The Old National Road was America's first interstate highway established by an act of Congress in 1806. In 1998, the Old National Road was designated as a National Scenic Byway. Richmond Art Museum
Located at Richmond High School in the North wing. Featuring a permanent collection of American Impressionists including William Chase and Indiana regional artists J.E. Bundy and T.C. Steele. Scott House
The Scott House is one of Indiana's great early Victorian homes. The design is a cubical town villa of Italianate style, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Historic American Building Survey. Wayne County Historical Museum
The Julia Meek Gaar collection features curiosities from around the world including a 3,000-year-old Egyptian mummy. Check out the early collections of Richmond-made cars and the 1929 Davis airplane.
